I have been showing
Airedale Terriers for 19 years and
Irish
Terriers for 8 years, however my first introduction to dog showing
was during the 60’s and 70’s with Great Dane’s, Afghan’s and
Poodle’s.

A short break to bring
up the children and then back into the hobby, obtaining my first
Airedale Terrier from Beryl McCallum (Glentops) in 1984, Glentops
Aimin’ High Sire CH. The Deerhunter of Saredon. Dam CH Glentops
Raggitty Ann. From these lines I have bred consistent winners and
ticket holders.
In 1996 I obtained my
first three Irish Terriers, from Mrs. June Symonds, Gabledown
Pocahontas at Sujoncla and Gabledown Sitting Bull at Sujoncla (Adam
and Eve) both from Sire CH. Edbrios Duplicate, Dam CH. Chantalle’s
Tanya of Gabledown. Also an older male bred by Mr. Kevin Anderson (Kerrykeel)
Chantalle’s Drummer Boy at Sujoncla (Drummer) Sire Gabledown All
That Jazz of Shallcome, Dam CH Kerrykeel Rose. Older brother of CH
Gentleman Joe at Dehra. Best in Show St Patrick’s Day Show 1997.

In 1998 a further
three bitch puppies arrived, Kerrykeel Roisin Dubh at Sujoncla,
(Clara) Sire CH Edbrios Duplicate, Dam Kerrykeel Chantalle’s Scarlet
O’Hara. Gabledown Belle Fleur at Sujoncla (Ester) Sire Gabledown
Apache Brave, Dam Penmire Sparkle. Penmire An Coonan at Sujoncla (Blit)
Sire Penmire Sirius, Dam Gabledown Roisin of Penmire.
Sujoncla is small
select Kennels who try to breed Airedale Terriers and Irish Terriers
of quality both for the show ring and as family pets. I also feel
that the temperament of my terriers is of the utmost importance.
My commitment to my
dogs and the world of dogs extends to being a member of the
committee’s of both the National Airedale Terrier Association, and
the Irish Terrier Association, I am also a founder member of the
British & Irish Dog Breeds Preservation Trust. All of my terriers
are prepared and handled by myself, loved and chauffeured to the
shows by my best friend and husband John.
